Laurel Highlands Area Customer Appreciation Days

The 14th Annual Customer Appreciation Day was held on Saturday, August 27th from 11 AM to 3 PM at the Stahlstown Flax Scutching Grounds. Over 775 customers attended the event. Free LHTC t-shirts were given to the first 500 customers with the event sponsors on the back.

This year we had 8 local businesses from the community share in our event. Josh Crowe Berkshire Hathaway Home Services made delicious popcorn for attendees, Somerset Trust Bank played Plinko, Duck’s Maple Farm had a variety of their maple products for sale, Financial & Group Services, Citizen’s Bank, Exelos, & Mountain Watershed Association, G&D Market all passed out goodies and information to the attendees.

Customers enjoyed a variety of live music provided by Quality Sounds Pittsburgh. While enjoying the great music, customers were able to play games including, Bingo! While waiting for winners of the door prizes to be announced customers enjoyed hot dogs, macaroni salad and delicious pizza by G&D Market as well as chips, cookies, and a drink. They also cooled down with a shaved ice by Snowie or a delicious ice cream cone prepared by and sponsored by the Chestnut Ridge Community Volunteer Fire Company (CRCVFC).

There were plenty of activities for the kids this year, too. There was balloon art by the Balloon Girlz. Plus, kids enjoyed blow up games Knock it Off and Candy Crush. All kids also received an LHTC Broadband drawstring bag that they could color.

At the Birthday wheel game, customers had a chance to win a LHTC Broadband 2023 Calendar or a light up keychain. Customers also could play the all-new piggy race game to win a zippered LHTC bag or LHTC color changing sunglasses. Speaking of our 2023 LHTC Broadband Calendar, our photo contest winners for the calendar from the Laurel Highlands area were honored at the event, Kathleen Giesey, Richard Schwab, Misty Ament, Nicole Wiemer, and Joshua Laymon, were presented with copies of the calendar, a LHTC Broadband Bluetooth Speaker and Contigo Mug. Congratulations to them and all of our photo contest winners! Calendars are now available at our LHTC Broadband Donegal office.

Bingo was sponsored by Sarnelli’s Corner Market who provided thirty $15 gift cards for the lucky winners. Customers also had the opportunity to register to win a LHTC Broadband Bluetooth Speaker if they submitted their email address at the LHTC Broadband info table. Everyone also had fun grabbing props and striking a pose at the photo booth by Moxie Events and posting their photo to social media to commemorate the day.

Everyone had a good time playing the games and socializing on the beautiful summer day. It was a wonderful way to spend the day with family and friends.

This year’s grand prize was a 65” 4K Smart TV. We also drew prizes every 30 minutes throughout the day. Prizes included a 32” TV, Echo Dot, Echo Show 8, Kindle Fire, JBL Speaker, & Kids Hoover Board Scooter. We also gave away various prizes from our local business sponsors and vendors.
